Why Is My Car’s Lower Radiator Hose Cold?

Six Causes of Cold Cooler Hose

1. Error Thermostat
This is the most common problem with cold coolant hoses with low coolant. The motor has a valve-based thermostat that determines and regulates coolant inflow to ensure that the engine operates at optimal temperatures and does not overheat.
If your car overheats and heats a low coolant hose at the same time, it’s likely that you’ll experience problems with the thermostat that you need to replace.
If the engine is cold and does not run, the thermostat must be closed. Thermostat controls the water to prevent hot spots from the engine. As soon as the optimum temperature is reached, energy-damaged coolant water is left in the cold.
