Jump starting (dead car battery)
A jump starter uses an external power surge to give your vehicle the boost it needs when your battery won’t work.
A jump starter is a portable battery that stores all the energy needed to start, so you don’t need a separate vehicle.
The jumper cables connect to the dead battery on one end and to the work vehicle’s battery on the other end. It is very important to connect these correctly before starting the car, as connecting to the wrong terminals can burn out the entire electrical system.
Bypassing your car puts a strain on the generator, so don’t do it often. Only use it when driving home or going to the mechanic for repairs. If your vehicle has to bypass frequently, it may need a new battery or other charging system components.
